I was speaking to a prospect who called randomly looking for
a billing service for their practice.
She was told to research billing services, but she herself was not
directly involved in the everyday grind of Medical Billing. It was an interesting conversation in that
she knew what she did not want, and that was a person who has no billing
experience like herself. I couldn’t
agree more, people who do not know this industry in any capacity should not be
put in a position to handle such a vital part of your practice. You need someone with skill sets and the
ability to logically know how to handle unique situations that practices deal
with day in and day out. I am still
baffled by the common notion that Medical Billing is easy peasy…it is anything
but easy peasy! Whoever put this woman in charge of looking
for a Medical Billing service I hope understands they elected someone who is
intuitive enough to make good decisions in this matter….good job!
On the flip side, and I can’t say it enough as a Medical
Billing Co, having specialists who are knowledgeable, trained, and able to make
sound and decisive decisions, who can engage and earn trust with our clients is
paramount in this business.
